The Child You were is Still a part of who you are

The Center for Childhood Recovery is a place to explore how childhood and relational trauma continue to shape our lives, relationships and sense of self.

Understanding the Child You Were

The Relationship Recovery Process (RRP)

Developed by Amanda Curtin LICSW and popularized by Patrick Teahan, LICSW, RRP explores how our childhood experiences shaped the ways we learned to relate to ourselves and others.

Through inner child work, reparenting ourselves and intimacy work, we become curious about the younger parts of ourselves and the strategies they developed to navigate the environments we grew up in.

Your Path Into Childhood Recovery

Individual and Group support with Marissa and other clinicians trained in this model.

Deep experiential immersions and retreats (both online and in person) focused on your relationship with your inner child.

Professional training for clinicians who want to learn and integrate RRP into their work.

Workshops, webinars and educational experiences exploring childhood trauma, inner child work and relationships.

My Story

I spent years trying to fix myself.

I’m Marissa Boyce, RCC, a trauma therapist, group facilitator and clinician educator specializing in childhood and relational trauma.

Long before I became a therapist, I was trying to understand my own history. For years, I believed that if I worked hard enough on myself, eventually I would become a better version of me.

Finding RRP challenged that idea.
